JOBO TecnoLab Delta Micro Series
Film Processors

Most photo labs that specialize in portraits, weddings, seniors and such (people labs) are able to run the same process the same way for 99% of their customers. C-41 is such a reliable process and the films have such latitude, that remarkable results come forth when skillful printing meets up with great film processing. The Delta Micro series processors are the ones most often selected by people labs. They have great capacity and yet simplicity in operation. That’s not to say that they aren’t recommended for E-6 and BW film processing, but those processes are often benefited by extra features, that aren’t generally needed by C-41 films.

These are true four point lift, hanger processors. Like all JOBO TecnoLab film machines, they include a "full" battery backup system to protect your customers’ precious film in case of a total power failure in your lab. Our 24 Volt motors keep the processor working for up to a full hour without any human intervention in the darkroom. Even the lift rack continues to cycle as it did under normal power conditions.

Replenishment can be left at an average setting, or adjusted for precise rates to assure the highest quality control of your film processing.

With its standard six hanger pre-loader, your operator can load up film hangers on the machine, and then walk out for up to twenty minutes to work on other tasks, such as removing the film from the machine, and then return to feed more film, all the while maintaining full productivity on the processor. Models are available with up to 540 rolls per hour capacity. The E-6 and BW models come with our automatic, magnet-sensing push/pull operation. For C-41, it can be added if your market needs the extra convenience of easy push/pull processing.

The graphic LCD control screen keeps you informed of what’s happening inside the machine. With its actual position sensing, the information you see on the TecnoLab screen is truly what’s going on. When it’s time for nitrogen or air agitation, you see bubbles appear within the tanks displayed on the screen; you can see water flow on the screen when it’s time for a wash step. Battery condition, motor activity, circulation pump operation, fans and replenishment activity, all shows up on the LCD. Markers on the screen indicate the actual position of each hanger in any of the solution tanks. Cumulative data shows how much film has been processed so far today or this month. All you have to do is hang the film, place the hanger on the self-aligning pre-loader, press a button and the film is on its way.

When the film is ready to emerge from the dryer cabinet, you have a choice of doors on all three sides to suit the layout of your lab.

Quiet is one of the words used to describe the TecnoLab Delta Micro processor. Many of our customers having previously worked with other brands comment that they can hardly tell the processor is operating compared to their previous noisy machines. Even the dryer fan is nearly silent, and the built-in air compressors barely make a buzz during their cycles of operation.

Safety sensors protect your operator and your customers’ film. Overheat sensors in the heaters shut down the current to the processor in case of an emergency. The machine continues to operate on battery power at such a time, but without any danger from a heater gone berserk. The lift rack itself is built with touch sensitive safety automatically stopping the lift in case someone or something is in the way, which could present a danger to the person or machine. As soon as normal conditions are restored, the processor continues on.

Designed with reliability in mind, the JOBO TecnoLab Delta Micro processor allows you to concentrate on your customers and their film. Maintenance on the machine is mostly at the level of housekeeping. Keep it clean and it will serve you for many, many years.

Please look over the features listed below, and the specifications that follow after the features.

Standard Features on All

TecnoLab Delta Micro Series Film Processors

  • "Full" battery backup, operating the lift, air pumps, nitrogen solenoid and wash water solenoid valves during power failure. No human intervention is needed.
  • A true 4-column lift operation to evenly support the lift rack
  • Magnet sensor system for automatic variable time control of each hanger (push/pull). 15 Times can be selected, from 4 minutes to 16 minutes, and adjustable in 1sec. Increments (Standard on E-6 and BW models, optional on C-41.)
  • Nitrogen low pressure alarm; sensors indicate if there is not sufficient nitrogen available. Both an audible and on-screen alarm message are provided.
  • 10 roll film hangers included (6 - 135/36; 4 - 120)
  • LCD Control Panel with graphic display of normal processor functions
  • Stainless steel film recovery baskets in every tank
  • 3-door access to the film dryer
  • Replenisher storage console with dosimetric pumps to deliver replenisher automatically. Size of the console varies with the size of each processor. (30, 60 or 120 liter sizes available)
  • Seven day clock for automatic startup and shutdown
  • Dual track, actual position hanger sensing; the processor really "knows" exactly where every hanger is located throughout the tanks.
  • Motorized Heat/Light trap; keeps heat in the dryer, and light out of the darkroom.
  • Nitrogen and water economizers; these functions are only switched on when there is actually a rack in a position to need them.
  • Individual tank control for nitrogen and air agitation cycles
  • Built-in compressors for air agitation.
  • Water flowmeters for accurate wash rates
  • Pump platform - provides easy access to circulation pumps as well as a convenient platform to stand on when maintaining the machine.
  • Motorized, 6 position, self aligning, hanger pre-loader.
  • 2 speed lift with drip stop function to reduce carry-forward of chemicals.
  • Individual temperature control for each solution tank
  • On-screen fuse status indicators
  • Dryer fan and heater safety sensors
  • Adjustable replenishment for precise or averaged replenishment
  • Touch sensitive lift rack safety system for both up and down movement
  • Full operation "test" function; handy for testing at the start of each day
  • Fine filtering on First and Color Developers in E-6; on all circulated baths in C-41 and BW

Optional Items available

  • E-6 nitrogen panel with humidifier and two pressure regulating manometers to provide precise control separately for First and Color Developer agitation; single control version for C-41 and BW
  • Built-in motorized mixers in chambers of the replenisher console
  • Larger size replenisher console (60 or 120 liters)
  • Mirror construction
  • Additional hangers

Most customers select TV or Compact processors for BW processing. BW models are available in the Delta Micro series. Call for specifications.

What is a less expensive alternative? What’s the next step up?

A less expensive alternative is the TecnoLab Delta Micro Compact series of processors.
The TecnoLab Delta TV is the next step up, adding a 2-lift design for more productive operation when you have lots of push/pull processing involved.
