Archival Print Washers

Academy III Washmaster ECO Washmaster II

Contents:

Product Summary:

NOVA Archival Print Washers come in a variety of configurations. They come as two, five and ten  slot washers in sizes ranging from 8x10" up to 20x24". Also, there are two new washers that have slots for washing plus additional slots for the hypo-clearing step.

All of the Nova Archival Washer units are hand made using the finest cast acrylic materials.
The water inlet and outlet are on the same end creating a unique even flow pattern.

The outlet is at the top, where the water runs over a weir into a captured chamber.

Fresh water is fed into an inlet manifold chamber, which, in turn feeds the individual compartments via calibrated jet holes.

There are four different models among the range of archival washers from Nova.

Rapid Washer is a two slot print washer.  Although originally designed as a companion to stand alongside of a Nova Slot Processor, they also give an archival wash as a stand alone unit.  The base is designed with an extended foot to fit underneath the Nova Slot Processors for extra stability.

Washmaster II is a five slot archival print washer.  As with all the Nova Archival Washers, this model features textured divider panels between each slot to assure prints won't stick to the walls during washing.  Nova has also added textured panels to the outside walls so even that surface assures thorough washing.  There is also a new flow rate scale for reliable archival wash results.

Academy III is a ten slot archival washer.  It has all the features of the Washmaster II plus two slots for hypo clearing agent.  This saves a huge amount of counter space compared to using trays, and makes for a convenient workflow.

Washmaster ECO is the first in a new era of products from Nova incorporating manufacturing methods not available in the past. The most significant new design feature is a total water ‘dumping’ facility. This is achieved by raising a single blade 1"(3cm), effectively emptying the washer of 90% of its volume within 1 minute, ensuring fast removal of the ‘Fixer Rich’ water.

The New Design also incorporates an independent single slot which can serve three different purposes dependent upon your needs. Its main purpose is to accommodate hypo clearing agent in its space-saving vertical construction and in turn, significantly reduce wash time. This slot can be converted to run as an isolated rapid Pre-Wash Slot or as the third option - a 6th washing slot! Fitted with independent flow control you may run the pre-wash at a different rate to that of your main washer section adding greater flexibility. Remember that the first 5 minutes of washing are always the ‘Golden Minutes’ - more fixer is removed per second at this point than at any other time.

Key Features

Small size

Because of the vertical design, NOVA washers use a fraction of the space required by trays.

Hypo clearing step

If you use a hypo-clearing step, you can now eliminate those trays too. The Washmaster Eco and Academy II washers are designed with additional slots at the front to use for hypo clear, then five or ten additional slots to use for the running water wash.  This saves space and makes the final treatment of your print easy to do.
