Fujimoto CP51/P-30 Processor

Where to Buy?

Fujimoto’s newest 20 inch paper processor has been designed exclusively for use with the Ilfochrome P-30 process. Capable of processing prints up to 20x30 inches, this table-top machine is the result of extensive research, to help you produce your finest image using Ilford P-30 chemicals and materials. At this time, there is no other 16 or 20 inch roller transport table-top processor currently in production to serve this purpose.

As with all current Fujimoto processors, structural components are made of stainless steel, while the tanks themselves are made of PVC for long-lasting resistance to chemicals. The CP51/P-30 has been modified for optimum performance with Ilfochrome P-30, but is not suitable for other processes as a result.

The complete CP51/P-30 is made up of three modules; a Main Body (MB) for the developer and bleach, an Extra Solution (ES) module for the fixer, and a Wash/Dry (W/D) module to wash and dry the materials. The approximate overall size of the processor is 35 inches wide and 52 inches long. If either space or budget limitations require a smaller machine that still handles 20 inch wide papers, then you can leave off the Wash/Dry module and the length becomes 33 inches. With this setup you will need to wash and dry the prints manually. We suggest the Nova Archival Print Washers for this situation.

Smooth Paper Transport

The CP51/P-30 uses an advanced roller transport system, assuring accurate paper throughput for even processing results from one end of the print to the other. All modules are driven by a single, powerful motor in the Main Body, with the exact speed displayed on a digital readout in the main control drawer.

Agitation System

The Main Body and Extra Solution module of the CP51/P-30 are equipped with turbulation agitators to insure uniform solution activity throughout the tank. The spray bars are designed to assure even distribution of the circulated chemicals all across the emulsion of the print.

Standby Mode

The CP51/P-30 goes into standby mode automatically, whenever the processor has not been used for 45 minutes. During standby operation, transport rollers are turned for three seconds and then remain at rest for fifteen seconds, while the chemical temperatures are accurately maintained. This procedure continues to cycle until you Insert paper into the machine, which returns it to normal operation. Separate standby timing switches off the dryer when the paper has finished passing through the processor, to save on energy costs.

Digital Temperature Control

Chemical temperatures in the Main Body can be independently set between 20º and 50º Celsius in 0.1 degree increments. The actual temperature of each bath is displayed on an LCD readout, and is maintained in the tanks to within ± 0.1º C. The Extra Solution module uses an analog temperature controller accurate to ± 0.2º C.
