19. Care And Maintenance
Daily cleaning
1. Clean paper-loading tray with cloth. Never rinse; water can damage
electronics!
2. Start cleaning program when you are finished using the machine.
3. Close water tap after cleaning has finished.
4. Clean angled paper guide mounted at rack 2 with a cloth.
5. Check filling level of reclamation containers and cubitainers.
6. To reduce formation of condensation, leave the protection lid over the paper-loading
tray open.
7. If the machine is ready for operation after turning on, fill tanks 1 and 2 with water
up to the overflow. Thus, evaporation is compensated. This is important in order to avoid
an increase of the concentration in the chemicals.
Weekly cleaning
In the normal order of processing, at least once a week, a minimum of one third of the
contents of tanks (1 and 2) should be replenished, as replenisher substitutes the original
chemical content. By pushing the ENTER-Key, the processed area in m2 can be displayed and
multiplied by the replenisher rate. If at least 1665 ml has not not been added to the
tank, an addition of fresh working solution can be made. Should the unit not be
continuously used, please contact your supplier of chemicals. They can offer you several
additives to protect the chemicals from oxidation.
Every two weeks
1. Clean housing parts with a wet cloth.
2. Rinse racks with running fresh water outside of the processor.
3. Clean the filters of Tank 1 and Tank 2, and reinsert them.
4. Clean light-traps with a brush.
Cleaning every 3-4 months or when changing the
process
Please note the security prescriptions in paragraph 11
1. Run cleaning program.
2. Turn off the machine.
3. Drain the chemicals from all containers and cubitainers.
4. Clean the containers and cubitainers with Processor Clean II (dissolve Processor Clean
completely in hot water before using it).
5. Fill up the containers and cubitainers with fresh cleaning solution.
6. Place suction hoses in containers and cubitainers.
7. Place containers in wall mount and switch on processor.
8. Keep processor running at at least 35 C° with the lid on. During this time the sensors
need to be covered with a sheet of paper.
9. Start cleaning program.
10. Turn off processor.
11. Drain cleaning solution from all containers and cubitainers.
12. Rinse containers and cubitainers with fresh water.
13. Fill containers and cubitainers with fresh water.
14. Place suction hoses again into cubitainers.
15. Place containers in wall mount and switch on processor.
16. Keep processor switched on with cover lid closed for about 5 minutes. During this
time the sensors should be covered with a sheet of paper.
17. Run cleaning program.
18. Drain water from containers and cubitainers.
19. Empty draining hoses completely. This is Important to avoid contamination
20. The cleaning with fresh water after the use of Processor Clean II should be done at
least twice (point 12). After filling the processor with new solutions, it is
advisable to run a test strip for densitometric control.
Maintenance every 12 months
1. Clean helical drive and apply appropriate grease. (#95465)
2. Clean light-trap.
3. Replace hoses of replenisher pumps. (#93008 set of two)
4. Adjust replenisher pumps (service menu 26 27)
