Instructions for the

PrintLab 3503R

16. Care and Maintenance

Daily maintenance
1. Clean paper-loading tray with cloth. Never rinse, water can damage electronics!

2. Close water tap after cleaning has finished.

3. Clean angled paper guide mounted at rack 2 with a cloth.

4. Check filling level of reclamation containers and cubitainers.

5. To reduce formation of condensation, leave the protection lid over the paper-loading tray open, when not actually spooling prints.

6. If the machine is ready for operation after turning on, fill tanks 1 and 2 with water up to the overflow, to compensate for evaporation. Thus, evaporation is compensated. This is important in order to avoid an increase of the chemical concentration.

Weekly maintenance
In the normal order of processing, at least once a week, a minimum of one third of the contents of tanks (1 and 2) should be replenished, as replenisher substitutes the original chemical content By pushing the ENTER-Key, the processed area in m2 can be displayed and multiplied by the replenisher rate. If at least 1665 ml has not not been added to the tank, an addition of fresh working solution can be made. Should the unit not be continuously used, please contact your supplier of chemicals. They can offer you several additives to protect the chemicals from oxidation.

Every two weeks
1. Clean housing parts with a wet cloth.

2. Rinse racks with running fresh water outside of the processor.

3. Clean the filters of Tank 1 and Tank 2, and reinsert them.
