Instructions for the
PrintLab 3503
14. Care And Maintenance
Daily cleaning
1. Clean paper-loading tray with cloth. Never rinse, water
can damage the electronics!
2. Clean angled paper guide mounted at rack 2 with a
cloth.
3. Check filling level of reclamation containers and
cubitainers. Fill processor tanks up to overflow.
4. To reduce formation of condensation, leave the
light-trap lid over the paper-loading tray open.
Weekly replenishment
1/3rd of the contents of tanks (1 and 2) should be
replenished by replenisher at least once a week. Should this not be reached, replace about
two liters of used solution with fresh working solution in both tanks. If the unit is not
continuously used, please contact your supplier of chemicals. They can offer you several
additives, protecting the chemicals from oxidation.
Every two weeks
1. Clean housing parts with a wet cloth.
2. Remove and rinse racks with running fresh water.
3. Clean filters of CD and BX and reinsert them.
Note: Do not use any cleaning agents which contain
solvents or chlorine, as these will cause embrittlement and/or destroy the machine. We
recommend Processor Clean II to remove soiling from inside the tanks and the hosing.
Cleaning every 3-4 months or when changing the process
1. Drain the chemicals from all containers and tanks.
2. Clean containers and tanks with Processor Clean II
(dissolve Processor Clean II completely in hot water before using it).
3. Drain containers and tanks of cleaning solution.
4. Rinse containers and tanks with water
5. Drain water from container and tanks
Note: Cleaning with fresh water after the use of
processor Clean II, should be done twice at least twice. After filling the processor with
new solutions, it is advisable to run a test strip for densitometric control.
Maintenance every 12 months
Lubricate worm gears with appropriate grease.
