PRINTLAB 3502

115 VOLTS, 600 WATTS

  • Use only a GFCI protected grounded socket

  • Never use an extension cord

  • Never connect other units to the same circuit

General Safety Instructions

The personnel responsible for installation and maintenance should be thoroughly familiar with the processor. This should also include instructions on how to work with chemicals. Follow the chemical manufacturer’s instructions carefully.

Wear appropriate protective goggles in case of repairs. Always disconnect the power and protect against unintentional reconnection before starting repairs. Do not bypass or disconnect built-in protective devices. Substitute electrical components only with matched replacement parts.

All service and repair work should be performed only by authorized and experienced service technicians.

7. Filling The Tanks

Using the PrintLab 3502, you have two methods available to you to fill the processor. You can pour the solution directly into the tank, or you can purchase optional bottles and wall bracket to fill and drain the tanks.

If you pour directly into the tank, make sure you fill the BX/FX first, and then the CD bath. That way, if you splash any BX/FX into the 1st tank, you can clean it up rather than have contamination.

As shown in the illustration below, be sure to have the racks in place and use a funnel to get the solution into the tank. When you start up the machine, be aware that if you have any air blockages in the circulating system of either bath, you might encounter either slow or no warming of the bath. If that happens, drain out a couple liters and refill the tank.

The second method of filling the CD and BX/FX tanks is to purchase the optional # 7151 wall bracket and two of the # 7164 5 liter canisters with hoses fitted directly to the first two connectors on the processor. At the beginning of each processing session, you raise the bottles onto the wall bracket, and the solutions will flow into tanks. When the bottles have finished draining, switch the machine on. At the end of each session, switch off the machine, put the canisters on the floor, and the solutions will drain into the canisters for safe storage of the chemicals.

8. Adjusting The Rinse Tray

The water supply for the rinse tray has to be adjusted carefully to that the incoming water flow does not exceed the flow of the water going down the drain. Otherwise, you will cause the tray to overflow. You will also need to carefully aim the spray bar to cause the water to flow down into the tray or else it can spray beyond the rinse tray, again causing a water spill.
