Years used: 10+
Used to develop: Roll Film, Color Positive Film, Black and White Film

Comments: My Jobo ATL-2 has processed thousands of rolls of film with no problems. It is totally dependable and a great time-saver. If something happened to my Jobo, I would not hesitate to buy a new one immediately.

Processor used: ATL-2000 and ATL-1500 (current models ATL-2000 series and ATL-1500)
Years used: 3
Used to develop: Black and white Film

Comments: We are a B&W pro-lab and we process many thousands of rolls of film each year. We serve pros in all 50 states, and on every continent on the globe (yes, we even have customers in Antarctica). Our ATL-2000 is our primary work-horse machine for processing, during peak season we run 100 rolls a day through it. It is a wonderful machine. We process each type of B&W film differently, and with push and pull options there are something like 40 different process times we use. We can easily reprogram it on the fly to accommodate the many different processing programs we run.  The machine is exceptionally reliable, and what little maintenance it has needed we have been able to do in-house with the help of the on-line instructions and photos.

The quality of processing we get from this machine is nothing short of astounding. Clean, perfect processing each and every time. The one-shot developer use and computer controlled temperature and agitation ensure that our customers get consistent results they can count on time and time again.

Processor used: ATL-2 (current model ATL-2000 series)
Years used: 10+
Used to develop: Roll Film, Sheet Film, Color Negative Film, Color Positive Film, Prints from Color Negatives, Prints from Color Positives

Comments: As a Legal Photographer in Buffalo New York my clients needed high quality 8x10's overnight. I couldn't find a color lab that would give me consistent quality and fast service so I purchased the small Jobo, quickly moving to an ATL-1 and then an ATL-2. Now I'm semi retired in Florida shooting brochures for builders, aerials and weddings. My Jobo processor is still chugging along allowing me to deliver the quality and service my customers demand.

Processor used: ATL-3 (current model ATL-2000 series)
Years used: 7
Used to develop:
Color Positive Film, Color Negative Film

Comments: While I currently use the ATL-3 processor primarily for E-6 dupes, I processed virtually all types of film.  There were times when I ran the AutoLab 24 hours straight without any problem.  The money saved from rush fees and the time saved rushing back and forth from the lab alone has paid for the processor time and time again.

Dean S.
Crime Scene Technician/Photography
Lakeland Police Department

Processor used: ATL-2300
Years used: 2
Used to develop: Roll Film, Sheet Film, Color Negative Film, Color Positive Film, Black and White Film

Comments: When I started 10 years ago, the department had a JOBO CPA-2/w lift processor. The processor was used for developing black & white 35mm film only. All color film was sent out to be processed. I started processing C-41, E-6, 70mm roll film. The 70mm black & white film was being processed in Tupperware cans. I started processing 70mm C-41 film in the CPA-2 using the JOBO Expert drum. What a difference it made.

Two years ago, the department purchased the AutoLab 2300. I cannot emphasize the consistent results using the AutoLab 2300. This machine allows me to be in other areas or even out on a crime scene and still have excellent results every time. It is now a real pleasure running film using the AutoLab 2300. All of the drums/reels from the CPA-2 are used on the new AutoLab 2300. Thus saving the department from having to purchase new reels/drums. I have never experienced a scratched negative using JOBO equipment like I have experienced using roller transport equipment. The amount of chemistry I use now use because of the JOBO drum/reels system is very small. This saves the department money. The chemistry is always fresh and the results are consistent, always!

Processor used: ATL-3 (current model ATL-2000 series) and CPP-2
Years used: 10+
Media developed: Black and white sheet film

Comments:  Photography is an important part of my life, and my JOBO processor produces the most even, consistent sheet and roll film processing I have ever been able to achieve.  I count on it for its precision, repeatability, and convenience.

If photography is as important to you as it is to me, you'll love using a JOBO processor.

Media Developed: Roll Film, Sheet Film, Color Negative Film, Color Positive Film

Comments: If you are a commercial photographer and you don't have the good fortune to live in a city that can support a 24hr E-6 lab, you should seriously look into buying one of the Jobo processors.

Processor used: ATL-2 (current model ATL-2000 series)
Years used: 1
Media developed: Roll film, Sheet Film, Color Positive Film, Black and White Film, Prints from Color Positives.

Comments: I've been using JOBO processors for 10 years to develop E-6 film and more importantly, my Ilfochrome Classic prints.   I started with a CPA-2, traded that for a CPP-2 and finally last year was able to trade up to an ATL-2.  While all three machines were well made and easily maintainable, the ATL-2 is a dream to use.  Set it and forget it.  No more timing chemistry steps and messy pouring of chemicals.  I can put a 20x24" Ilfochrome in the drum, press a button and walk away.  The ATL even beeps at me when it's done.

I love it.  And my prints are more consistent and repeatable due to the computerized accuracy of the ATL.  Thanks to JOBO products, I've been able to progress from an amateur slide shooter to a photographer who cust-prints his own masked Ilfochrome and is able to sell these prints through California galleries.

Processor used: ATL-3 (current model ATL-2000 series)
Years used: 2
Media developed: Color positive roll and sheet film

Comments: Our studio has used an ATL-3 for all of our E-6 for the last two years and we love it. It gives us greater control, helps us serve our clients better since we have a faster turn-around than most of the pro labs in our town and it has made us more profitable.

Ardine N.
Associate Professor
The Ohio State University

Columbus, OH

Processor used: ATL-2 (current model ATL-2000 series)
Years used: 10+
Used to develop: Roll film, Sheet film, Color negative film, Color positive film, Black and white film, Black and white prints, Prints from color negatives, Prints from color positives

Comments:  The JOBO processor has allowed me to process large pieces of film (through 20x24") flawlessly.  I have come to trust the JOBO's ability to process all types of film as well (or better) than I can by hand.  No other lab or processor can do this for me on a consistent basis.   For printing color in a home lab this is 'the only way to go'.  It's consistent, economical, and has less direct exposure to the chemistry than other methods.

"JOBO doesn't recommend developing sheet film larger than 16x20" in the AutoLab processors -- but just because we don't recommend it, it doesn't mean it won't work" -Webmaster
